Here at Motorsport Division auto repair shop we specialize in BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi, Volvo & Volkswagen.
Myself (Manu), and our technicians have been in the automotive business for over 30 years. Our experience, training, combined with the latest diagnostic equipment (autologic) and service bulletins help us provide the best possible service.

Oil Change Service
Your engine will not run properly without adequate lubrication. By changing your oil every 3,000 miles (regular oil) or 6,000 miles (synthetic oil), you will eliminate excess wear on your engine and improve your gas mileage. We perform the following:

A: Of course. We comply fully with the law which states that estimates must be provided before any work begins.

A: Yes. Consistent with our emphasis on maintenance and prevention, our computer system keeps track of your service history to make sure your up to date with maintenance.
Q: Can you lend me a car while mine is being serviced?
A: Yes. We offer a loaner car during any major auto repair service. For smaller services, we will drive you home or even to the airport if you want to leave us your car while you are away. We'll even pick you up when the car is ready!
INFO Oils & Oil Changes
Check Engine Light
A regular oil is recommended to be changed every 3,500 miles or 3.5 months (whichever comes 1st).
Synthetic oil lubricants are made up of molecules that have been modified under complex chemical processes and allow for enhanced performance under extreme conditions of temperature, pressure and forces. Synthetic oil is recommended to be changed every 7,000 miles or 7 months (whichever comes 1st).
The "check engine" light is part of your car's so-called onboard diagnostics (OBD) system. Computers have control and monitor vehicle's performance, regulating such variables as engine speed (RPM), fuel mixture, and ignition timing.
When it finds a problem in the electronic-control system that it can't correct, the computer turns on a yellow warning indicator that's labeled "check engine," "service engine soon" or "check powertrain."
In addition to turning on the light, the computer stores a "trouble code" in its memory that identifies the source of the problem, such as a malfunctioning sensor or a misfiring engine.
The code can be read with an electronic scan tool or a diagnostic computer, standard equipment in auto repair shops.
If the "check engine" light illuminates, it will either blink or remain constant, depending on the problem. A blinking light usually indicates an engine misfire so severe that unburned fuel is being dumped into the exhaust system, where it can quickly damage the catalytic converter, requiring an expensive repair. If that happens, you should reduce power and have the vehicle looked at as soon as possible.
If the light is steady, the problem is not an emergency, but you should schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
Brake Pads & Brake Rotors
Overtime brake rotors become warped. When your brake pads aren't replaced in a timely manner, they grind against the brake rotors causing them to need replacement as well.
Mercedes Benz and BMW use a softer alloy for better, smoother braking.
However, we are not able to resurface the softer alloy brake rotors because they will no longer meet the minimum thickeness safety standard causing them to be unsafe. Therefore the rotors must be replaced rather than resurfaced.
Timing Belts
I consider the timing belt the most critical maintenance item because it is the one thing if not done will cause severe engine damage. typical vehicles are do for a timing around 90K on average, but it's a good idea to check your owners manual. This is an auto repair item you want to catch before it actually breaks.

Being centrally located on the Mid Peninsula gives you many public transportation options to either drop-off or pick up your serviced vehicle. Caltrain is a very popular option for Motosport Division customers, as we are only a few blocks from the Hillsdale exit in San Mateo.
You may wish to drop your vehicle off if you are planning a trip out of SFO. We'd be happy to drop you off and pick you up from SFO during normal business ours.
